Looking for relief for sore feet? Try these remedies

These days more and more jobs have you sitting behind a desk. While that’s being proven to be an issue for your overall health, there are a few things that you can do to relieve the sore feet many occupations that have you standing or sitting for a long time cause. Here are a few excellent ideas when you’re looking for relief of sore feet.

 

Soak it Away

If you don’t have a more serious condition like plantar fasciitis that requires preofessional medical help  to look after the situation for you, you might be able to soak away those aches and pains . Filling one basin with cold water and the other with hot can provide you with a simple therapy at home. All you need to do is sit in a chair, put one foot in the cold water for five minutes then transfer to the hot water.

Keep in mind that if you have a more serious issue like diabetes it’s best to check with us about the ways to properly care for your feet. We are always here to make sure your feet stay healthy and strong, even if you suffer from this otherwise debilitating disease. That said, there are a few other routes you can take if you’re suffering through some temporary foot discomfort and can’t get in to see us.

 

Sage

Always keep in mind that temporary herbal fixes are just that, but sage leaves are a proven way to relieve some of the aches and pains and strains that you can encounter in your job. If you have some Apple cider vinegar around the house, you can rub some sage leaves into it and then bring the mixture to a slow boil. After you let it cool down you can take a facecloth and gently rub the affected areas on your feet to get some temporary relief.

You might need to do this several times, and if the situation persists you’ll need to come in and see us straightaway.

Rosemary oil can even work with temperament oil in a mixture to take some of the strain from a long day at work away. Soaking those tootsies in a mixture with eucalyptus oil can bring some relief too.
