Since the joints, tendons and muscles in our lower body bear much of our weight, conditions or disorders of the lower extremities (hips, knees, and ankles) are quite common. We believe the foot is part of a kinetic chain that is not independent from the dynamic motions of the hip, knee and ankle. Imbalances above the feet can relate to foot pain as well. Part of treating foot pain requires examining individual weaknesses, range of motion and abnormalities in gait function. Our approach is to explain the condition, offer help to alleviate pain in the short term and help restore function by means of correcting imbalances in the long term.We offer rehabilitation and gait correction, manual therapy, shockwave, injury prevention education, and the use of specialized care products, including therapeutic taping and custom orthotic products. We can also help with returning to running or sport plans from a foot injury.
