Laura Desjardins
Laura’s Podiatric Medicine practice concentrates on well-rounded management and treatment of foot and ankle conditions. She treats conditions relating to dermatology of the foot as well as overuse injuries, sports medicine injuries and general foot pain. Her approach to foot pain treatment relies on rehabilitation-based principles. She has a Kinesiology degree, certification in soft tissue release and has experience with running/ repetitive overuse foot conditions. She has represented Team Canada for Cross Country and completed many continuing education courses in sports medicine. She has taught continuing education at the University of Saskatchewan and has treated elite athletes including Olympic medalist in track and field. She is a passionate about helping others get back to health.
TORONTO PODIATRIST CHRIS HASTINGS
Chris Hastings has many years experience, practising as a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in Toronto, Barrie and Muskoka.He has served as a consultant in provincial hospitals, institutions and continuously as a private practitioner encompassing general care, surgery and orthotics.He has been a community leader, serving as an executive of the Cancer Society, Crime Stoppers, Kinsman, his professional organizations and a consultant to many charity walks.


Andrew Lam
Andrew Lam is a Chiropodist, Physiotherapist, and a Registered Massage Therapist. After completing his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo, Andrew decided to pursue a path into health care. First beginning his career with a Diploma of Massage Therapy at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy, then completing a Doctorate in Physical Therapy at D’Youville College in Buffalo and completing his education at the Michener Institute for an Advanced Diploma in Chiropody. In his personal time, Andrew enjoys volleyball, soccer, and swimming. With his experiences Andrew utilizes his understanding of biomechanics to get his patients back to sport.
Jackie
Jackie is our office receptionist. After several years of working in hospitality and administration roles, providing excellent customer service has always been a priority for Jackie. Jackie majored in Women and Gender Studies, with a minor in English Literature. In addition, she has a specialization in Modern and Contemporary Art and Design. Her education ignited her passion for creative writing and content creation. Jackie’s main goal at Instride is to provide a seamless patient experience through effective communication and compassion. Outside of the clinic, Jackie enjoys: cooking, traveling and writing.
