Summer is here and that means people will be out and about enjoying a lot of activities. It’s great news for you and your family, but not always good news for your feet. Your tootsies might be enclosed in a pair of running shoes while your running around enjoying yourself, and you can wind up with a case of smelly feet.
Here’s five great cures for smelly feet that will help you enjoy these summer months.

Baking Soda

Sometimes, common household items can help your feet stay fresh. For example, a little baking soda sprinkled in your shoes or directly on your feet makes a big difference if you’re planning on a big day hiking or playing tennis

Give Your Feet a Vinegar Bath

While we’re not suggesting you fill the bathtub with it, a combination of apple cider vinegar and water is a good treatment for those smelly tootsies. Fifteen minutes a day should get the trick done.

Choose Good Socks

Taking the time to pick the right socks can make a big difference. Making the choice to buy wool or cotton socks helps your feet to breathe and cuts down on the kind of bacteria forming that can turn into unpleasant odors.

Keep in mind here there’s an old wives’ tale about different color socks being more breathable, but that’s really got nothing to do with it. Active and sports socks choices are always a good idea.

Change Your Shoes

Rotating your running shoes is a great idea and an excellent way to prevent foot older. If you can, it’s an excellent plan to change your running shoes every day and avoid boots wherever possible.

Use Tea Bags

The trick to using teabags to prevent foot order is making sure you keep these separate from the rest. Here’s a way you can use this common household item to prevent your feet from smelling. Boil the teabags and, after you’ve let the water cool afterwards, put your feet inside the bowl for a half an hour.
